Why O Lord are we infected with this Coronavirus?

On Sunday 15th August I got on my knees before the  Lord and asked him how are we infected with this virus. I asked him why this virus and if he can explain. As soon as I finished asking these questions, I heard a voice saying Joshua with no chapter or verse. I picked up my bible and I turn to the book of Joshua and the prayer of Joshua caught my eye.

"Joshua then tore his clothes and prostrated himself before the ark of Yahweh till nightfall; the elders of Israel did the same, and all poured dust on their heads. 7. And Joshua said, 'Alas, Lord Yahweh, why did you bother to bring this nation across the Jordan, if it was only to put us at the mercy of the Amorites and destroy us? If only we could have settled down on the other side of the Jordan! 8. Forgive me, Lord, but what can I say, now that Israel has turned tail on the enemy? 9. The Canaanites, all the inhabitants of the land, will hear of it; they will unite against us to wipe our name from the earth. And what will you do about your great Name then?'

After reading his prayer, I continued to the next verse under the sub-heading of Yahweh Answer:

"Yahweh said to Joshua, 'Stand up! Why are you lying prostrate like this? 11. Israel has sinned; they have violated the covenant which I imposed on them. They have gone so far as to take what was under the curse of destruction, they have even stolen it; they have actually hidden it; they have put it in their baggage. 12. That is why the Israelites cannot stand up to their foes, why they have turned tail on their enemies: because they have come under the curse of destruction themselves. Unless you get rid of the object among you which has been put under the curse of destruction, I shall be with you no longer.'
Joshua 7: 10-12
Joshua, 7 - Bíblia Católica Online

I did not quite understand what the Lord was saying until I read further and realize a man had stolen from the loot of Jericho.

Joshua then said to Achan, 'My son, give glory to Yahweh, God of Israel, and confess; tell me what you have done and hide nothing from me.' 20. Achan replied to Joshua, 'Yes, I am the man who has sinned against Yahweh, God of Israel, and this is what I have done. 21. In the loot, I saw a fine robe from Shinar and two hundred shekels of silver and an ingot of gold weighing fifty shekels, I set my heart on them and I took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath.'
 Joshua 7: 19-21

It was then a revelation occurred that Greed and Vanity had reached such a great height in the hearts of men that God had to humble us. He has allowed the curse of destruction to fall on us via our own ingenuity. Just as this sin committed by Achan had caused the release of destruction among the Israelites, the same can be said of today. In addition, just as Joshua and the elders had no clue of the real cause of their demise, so too were our leaders at the beginning of this pandemic. Before the battle that lead to Joshua's prayer, there was no mention of consulting God. There was just a presumption that God was with the people and every decision would be successful. We have become a global village and it comes as no surprise that one event can cause a ripple across the world.

"Human nature has been humbled, humankind brought low, and the eyes of the proud have been humbled."
Isaiah, 5 - Bíblia Católica Online

What is it that has triggered this curse upon us? What did we or someone, or country, or organization moved by greed took what was under a curse; that brought disaster to us all?

But beware of the curse of destruction, yourselves, for fear that, moved by greed, you take something lying under the curse; that would put the camp of Israel under the same curse and bring disaster on it."
Joshua, 6 - Bíblia Católica Online

God gave me further confirmation for as these thoughts settled another scripture came to mind, this time clean as daylight with chapter and verse: Isaiah 5:15

From this scripture was the beginning of a series of curses and their causes.

1."Now, the vineyard of Yahweh Sabaoth is the House of Israel, and the people of Judah the plant he cherished. He expected fair judgment, but found injustice, uprightness, but found cries of distress."

2. Woe to those who add house to house and join field to field until there is nowhere left and they are the sole inhabitants of the country. Yahweh Sabaoth has sworn this in my hearing, 'Many houses will be brought to ruin, great and fine ones left untenanted; for ten acres of vineyard will yield only one barrel, and ten bushels of seed will yield only one bushel.'
3. Woe to those who get up early to go after a strong drink, and stay up late at night inflamed with wine. Nothing but harp and lyre, tambourine and pipe, and wine for their drinking bouts. Never a thought for the works of Yahweh, never a glance for what his hands have done. That is why my people are in exile, for want of perception; her dignitaries starving, her populace parched with thirst. That is why Sheol opens wide its throat and gapes with measureless jaw and down go her noblemen and populace and her loud revelers merry to the last!
15Yahweh Sabaoth is the more respected for his judgment, God the Holy One has displayed his holiness by his justice!
3. Woe to those who drag guilt along by the reins of duplicity, drag along sin as though with a cart rope; 19. to those who say, 'Why doesn't he do his work quickly so that we can see it; why doesn't the Holy One of Israel's design hurry up and come true so that we can experience it?'
4. Woe to those who call what is bad, good, and what is good, bad, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
5. Woe to those who think themselves wise and believe themselves enlightened.
6. Woe to those whose might lies in wine bibbing, their heroism in mixing strong drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe and deny justice to the upright. Yes, as the flame devours the stubble, as the straw flares up and disappears, their root will be like decay and their shoot be carried off like dust, for having rejected the law of Yahweh Sabaoth, for having despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
This is why Yahweh's anger has blazed out against his people, and he has raised his hand against them to strike them; why the mountains have shuddered and why corpses are lying like dung in the streets. After all this, his anger is not spent. No, his hand is still raised! 26. He hoists a signal for a distant nation, he whistles them up from the ends of the earth; and see how swift, how fleet they come!"Isaiah, 5 - Bíblia Católica Online

Money and Greed have become the God of the nations. They are the heartbeat of all the people. It drives our economy and establishes the parameters in which we live. Those who have want more and those without seeks to get more, trapping us in a vicious cycle of consumerism. Creating a structure of great divide between the rich, the middle class, and the poor. The bible warns that the root of all evil is money. Ask yourself why would such a virus be created in the first place. Why does our intelligent and knowledgeable modern society want the creation of a virus with such harmful effects? It is because of war? What causes warfare in the first place? Economic warfare is at a height never seen before. The intention of Money as in everything was made by God and deem as good, but the effects of its misuse and worship can be referred to as a Sacrilege. That is a serious matter.
The word of God is never wrong, these were things written a long time ago but are relevant today. Those who study scriptures can find the answer to almost all the world issues for it was foretold by God. I urge you brothers and sisters who took the time to read this blog post, to read with an open mind and with faith. Maybe, your interpretation will be different, but what stood out is the direct correlation of the issue ( Coronavirus) we face with the root cause which is SIN. Social issues always arise from sin and once we peel back the layers of the problems of the world it will expose this truth.

TRUE Repentance is needed as in those days, where the nation of Israel: leaders and citizens will wear sackcloth and ashes and turn to God. We need to pray that this happens. It is not time to engage in conspiracies or put rebellion in your heart but it is time to walk in Wisdom.

Thank you for Reading. May God Bless you and the word of the Lord Guide you

Are you afraid of the responsibility of the coming of the last days?

In thinking of the last days, it is a nerve racking thought. To be true to oneself, no matter how much your faith appears to be or is, the fact is that human nature is afraid of the unknown. To make matters worse there are repeated and constant forecast of doom and gloom. As Christians, there is a great responsibility placed on our shoulders. As the world descends into darkness( increase in evil, crime, rapes, road carnage ,fighting, hunger, taxes, immoral living and the list goes on) our light has to shine and not to be place on a shelf, but for everyone to see. Everyone will be looking at us Christians. They will be hard on us for they will be looking for answers. They will be looking to see how the God that we profess and believe in is actually working in our lives. They will want to see if God is real and how can they be save as well. Many will be doubters, mockers and critics. Therefore it is by our living they can see and witness that despite all the hardsh...

" Father, why have you forsaken me?"

For a long time now I have been faced with the word SIN. It came up again recently when I was reading the book of Jeremiah. It is a scary book but also one of hope.I felt the holy spirit guiding me to read chapter 32  for I were able to make a connection with the sin of the people in that time and the reason behind Jesus pained words on the cross. To start,I decided to find out the definition of sin. Here goes my explanation as it came to me: Sin according to the  WebBibleEncyclopedia  is the word used to "denote the willful breaking of God's law." Another source  gotquestions.org   described sin as transgression of the law of God and rebellion against God. We sometimes do not understand the word SIN in all its entirety. What I do know is that it is something very serious and terrible for Jesus to have died on the cross to absorb the punishment. According to the bible all SINs are and must be punished because of who Yahweh God is;  PERFECTLY (a...

Should we be wearing Crosses or Crucifixes as part of our Christian worship?

Last week on Facebook, I came across a post by a relative of mines stating that he hates to see the cross or any crucifix. The reason being it was a constant reminder that they have kill his parent, his brother Jesus. He asked, how would you feel to see your parent up on a cross everyday? Honestly, I think it is a good question. I personally do not want to see my parents or any member of my family hanging from a cross everyday. I think others may agree ... Right! It will be just terrible and I could just imagine the pain, anguish and emotions that will follow. But on reflection, I would ask how did they end up there? What was the reason? What was the cause? What was their journey ? The answer surely will have an impact on my behavior and attitude afterwards. I don't really like going to funerals, but when I do the sermons are so spot on. What I observe sometimes at funerals are people wearing jerseys with the deceased face on them, some may wear their uniforms or some may have...
